Processing is handled through an Animal Welfare Certified facility, ensuring respect every step of the way.

What to expect from our beef

Every animal is unique, and so are our cuts. Because we raise our cattle on pasture (not feedlots), we don’t force them into a uniform size or weight. That means our steaks and roasts won’t look identical like they do at the grocery store. To us, that’s part of the beauty: every cut tells the story of a real animal raised the natural way. We cut steaks to about ¾” for easier cooking, but weights may still vary slightly — a reminder that we are still letting nature lead in everything we do.

How Pricing Works

We price by hanging weight, a fair, transparent way to buy beef. Butcher fees are included in your final cost.

Buying beef in bulk saves you money and gives you a freezer full of nutrient-dense, pasture-raised beef for the year. Here’s how it works:

Pricing Based on Hanging Weight

  • Whole cow - $    9.50/lb

  • Half cow:         $10.00/lb

What is Hanging Weight?

​

Hanging weight is the industry standard for beef sales. It’s the weight of the carcass after the head, hide, hooves, and organs are removed. This is the number used to calculate your final cost.

 Based on a 400 lb hanging weight:

                    Whole Cow →

                    400 lbs × $9.50 =  $3,800

                  Half Cow →       

                    200 lbs × $10.00 =  $2,000

How much meat will I get?

Not all of the hanging weight ends up in your freezer. About 64% of the carcass becomes packaged meat after accounting for bones, fat, and shrinkage.

 

Example yields:

A whole cow:      400lbs x 64% =   256 lbs packaged meat

​

A half cow:           200lbs x 64%  =   128 lbs packaged meat

​

A quarter cow:  100lbs x 64%  =    64 lbs packaged meat
